    • Your infant’s immune system begins to develop right from birth.
    • While they are constantly building immunity to different germs, they are not fully capable of fighting off all illnesses.
    • As much as possible, you should regulate who your child comes into contact with due to infection risk.
    • Every caregiver should have an up-to-date Tdap (whooping cough) vaccine and yearly flu vaccine.
    • You should limit exposure to large groups of people and to people who are actively sick.
